joining us for more, director of research at ida global. thanks for joining us. three weeks ago, a number of analysts saying we have a big asset allocation shift out of fixed income into treasuries and stocks. since, treasuries continue to decline, down another chunk last week post the employment report, as well. what's your view? >> what we're seeing is a return to the kind of yield levels that previously existed over the last six months. and that's because the numbers in the u.s. economy have lost some of the momentum. you've also had after a phase of risks on people questioning where the new liquidity will come from, what the global economic picture looks like. so we're really seeing yields coming back towards the levels of -- >> has the rally been a liquidity rush more than based on good hard data? >> well, we had a trillion euros of ecb money, we had operation twist which is still going on from the fed. bank of japan, bank of engrand easing. overlaying with that, you did have some better u.s. numbers, but we still have a sick likely weak position in europe.

thanks for joining us. how concerned should investors be about the revenue misses we're getting? >> i'm much more interested in the margin misses because revenue in the sensepr predictable margins can be much more tragic because it speaks volumes about diminishing returns. and i think in terms of earnings expect takings, the s&p will probably again have to see a significant down shift in the consensus for 2013 earnings, to perhaps less than 100. >> so we need a repricing? >> i think equity pricings should go up. >> despite the -- >> absolutely. >> you might have to explain. >> what is clear that we're in for a period of very low interest rates, very low bond yields. i'm not one of the people who says the bond yield will rise dramatically. because some banks will keep the lid on the continue. they'll continue quantitative easing. i expect to see more quantitative easing. i expect to seat bank of japan and euro land both coming up to the season with much more quantitative easing following the lead of the bank

joining us is chris wheeler, banks analyst. thank you for joining us. this is the week before the ltro. the next batch of ltro here. it's undoubtedly saved us from a financial systemic collapse. i suppose the issue we're now wondering about is how do we, is this now the only funding for banks and how must we win them off at some point in the future? >> you're right. obviously a 38% rise in the bank sector since the ltro effectively and that shows how important it was to shore up the liquidity with the banks. yeah, just been with clients this week asking the same question. it's three-year money. what happens in the meantime. it is a matter of trying to get themselves sorted out in terms of loppinger trm funding needs hopefully it has been busy and manage what is going to be clearly an uptick in funding longer term for banks as a whole. >> yeah, because obviously what some of them are doing, italian banks are using money to buy debt. people are viewing this as a leave it option on, i guess, sovereign risk. is that right to view it that way? >> well, i thi
